The shampoo alone is worth the visit, and a special shoutout to Harley for giving me the best shampoo I have ever had. It is a small detail that sets the tone for the level of care you receive throughout your entire appointment.

What sets The LABoratory apart is how intentional every stylist is with their craft. Rather than just jumping into a cut, the stylists take real time to understand your hair, its texture, its needs, its history, and they actually educate you along the way. I have been a client of Ruby’s for over a decade. I can personally speak to her helping me navigate the hair changes that accompany the hormonal roller coaster of multiple pregnancies and postpartum periods. She has guided me going to and from mid length hair to pixie and all the stages in between. She understands many different textures of hair, and I’ve witnessed her color transformations on other clients. I’ve been privy to watching her invest and grow her staff with compassion and patience.

As for the salon experience, you can look forward to fun music at a volume level where you can still speak with your stylist. Complimentary beverages. A warm reception where everyone is acting professionally, but you don’t have to be anyone you aren’t when you walk through their doors.
